      I went with a few friends to Bali and Flores in the end of June. We were told it was dry season, and according to every source it is indeed dry season, but it poured and poured and poured every day for us.     Zermatt, Switzerland

    Hiking in Switzerland had been high on my bucket list. There are so many beautiful places to hike in Switzerland, so I wasn’t sure where to go first. I decided on Zermatt because I had read the most about Zermatt and Matterhorn. Ideally, I wanted to try to summit Matterhorn, but it’s quite technical so another time! High season for hiking in Zermatt in mid to late June through the middle of September. I was hoping it would be cheaper since it was technically out of season, but it was still pretty pricey.     Canary Islands, Spain

    I went with my family to Tenerife, not expecting the best weather in early April, but we got pretty lucky. It was warm enough most days to lay by the pool, and while it was freezing, we even went into the ocean. We stayed on the south side of the island, and to be honest, we didn’t do much exploring.
